General Facilities

Below are listed the site facilities at Fairies Hill Moorings, these are ever changing and expanding. If you are looking for a safe friendly mooring then give us a ring by telephone or send an email with your questions. We can update you on the current changes that have occurred and those which are imminent

Secure safe mooring Current At; January 2012

Long term towpath 44p per ft per wk (up to 2.1 metre wide)

Long term offside 45p per ft per wk (up to 2.1 metre wide)

Widebeam boats 2.2 metres or more as above plus 20%

Breasted narrow boats 35p per ft per wk

On site facilities

 

This site has a graveled car park and water points at various places along the moorings.

There is no electric hook up although by agreement generators are allowed on site. [time restrictions apply]

All rubbish is to be disposed of off site. There are various disposal points and recycling points sited locally. BW Elsan and pump out stations are located at Castleford Junction and Stanley Ferry.

On site leisure

There are grassed areas and a raised viewing platform overlooking the river available for picnics, barbecues or a get together and a play area for the younger ones.

The White Rose Boat Club has its home in the marina and hosts various functions throughout the year.

Licensed fishing is permitted either off the boat or on the banking on payment of day tickets.
